Gas price gouging? Gimme a break! (Sorry Stossel)

I received an email recently from someone suggesting this…

GAS WAR - an idea that WILL work
This was originally sent by a retired Coca Cola
executive. It came from one
of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton.
It ‘ s worth your
consideration.
Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to
hit close to $4.00 a gallon this summer and […]

Is Anna Nicole Smith still dead?

CNN’s Jack Cafferty attempts to find out:

It seems the link to the hugs script I made has been lost… so here’s an updated link to the hugs script.

Computer is out…

Here’s what’s happening with my computer:

Plug cord into back of PSU (there is no on/off switch on it)
Press power button
Only case fan spins and PSU fan spins for ~1 or 2 seconds then stops. CPU fan doesn’t spin at all. Nothing else happens. No power light or anything.
Hit power again, nothing else happens
Unplug and plug […]

AOL Screws Up

Oh, wait, they did? You mean when they had that asshole who gave the guy a hard time when he tried to cancel his account? Or when they billed the customer who was dead? No no no, this time they “mistakenly” released search logs of over 600,000 AOL users. More on the TechCrunch Blog. Good […]

GNGNGNGNGNGNGNGNGNGNGNGN!

Well, I ordered the CD set Genesis: The Platinum Collection and it finally arrived today! It looked in near-perfect condition. The box was clean, no scratches, looked never opened. The CD case had no scratches, the booklet had no folds, the CDs themselves had no scratches. It looked BRAND NEW! and every song plays perfectly […]

Johari and Nohari windows

You’ve probably (not) heard of these. Just in case, here is a link to some information (It’s Wikipedia, BTW) about it. And here are my johari and nohari links, you hamsters.

P.S. I have no life

Ouch

I was bringing in the groceries, and I stepped out onto the porch to bring them in, and the damn steps (we have a portable three-step thing) slipped out from under me. and I came crashing down on my back with groceries all around me! I’m ok… Just some scrapes and bruises.

Being forced to move out, likely.

Now this sucks. The landlord here is basically making us sell this place to him (Likely for a cheap price that we can’t live on…) because he wants to use this land to build bigger homes. Now I can understand his business sense, but this is ridiculous. What if it’s not enough money for us […]

The day from hell

Why does it seem that bad things happen in a compressed fashion rather than a bunch over time.
Well, it started with this morning… First, I wake up, and I am SOOO DEAD TIRED. Even more than usual. I’m trying to think of what to do this morning, but the stupid cat is meowing its ass […]

Lost my wallet

Crap, I can’t find my wallet! It had ~$80 in cash, my permit, and my credit card in it! I remember last having it at the Greenbrier mall on Friday. The last place I was before I left was at the McDonald’s, but I think I had some cash in my pocket that I paid […]

Sheesh

You know, just once I’d like ONE great thing to go the way I want it to…

Geeks make better lovers

I almost died laughing from reading this. For one, it’s totally false. I am a geek, not a nerd. Nerds are socially inept. Geeks at least know what’s going on around them. (or have some idea) For two, all of the “nerds” mentioned here are famous (somewhat), rich, well-established individuals. You can get laid easily […]

Piracy vs. Unethics

I’ve been reading various news stories, commentaries, and such about the whole MPAA vs. Piracy deal. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you must be living under a rock. I’m all for protecting intellectual property and copyright, but the way the MPAA, the RIAA, and even our own loving government are going […]
